To Drive or Not to

A recent conversation with a close Frnd made me

wonder,come to think of it,

in a world like today , a generation like ours, how many of

us are truly inspired or truly motivated.?

Conviction arises from within only when a person is really

inspired, anything less than that, is merely an obsession or a

side track from your real destination, that you took just to

over take someone. Are we really obsessed, or driven with a

real conviction about something we truly believe in?

A lot of us can relate to the procrastination that comes up

when faced with an unpleasant task, procrastination to

escape into doing something more pleasant , so how many

of us actually have the drive to move mountains?

We are made to believe that everyone of us actually be at

the top of the ladder, but big surprise, or rather

disappointment, we know what we are culminating ourselves

into.Think about it, True inspiration, or mere obsession.?

Where do you stand?

Just a mere thought.

Think T nagar

Madras machi Diaries - A Photo Story - Think T nagar

Welcome to Chennai, the galleria of cultural differences and one of the largest metro cities in India.
T Nagar or Thyagarayar Nagar.
Think T nagar and Imagine the thrill of street shopping and the deliciousness of a good bargain,  simply Indian.

T nagar defines the shopping spot for the lower, lower middle and some of the upper middle classes of Chennai (who love a good bargain) who rather not empty their pockets in an air conditioned metro mall. Pondy Bazar, Ranganathan street (Phew) are the Chennai hotspots for the prettiest earrings and ,dresses to the hot shoes ,glittering gold or platinum for your lady love, or the techy stuff and the best bargains.
Be it Cherokee, Reebok, Nike , Sony, Kancheevaram silk , Swarovski,Van Huesen , Allen solly , Park avenue, Karigari , Dell , Giogardini, yu get every single brand in here.I am not categorizing stuff here, but yes one just gets everything out here. Everything branded. Shops like Life style, Nalli , Mega mart, Pantaloons, Joyalukkas cater to your every shopping needs.

On the other side of the story you get the cheapest of the brand imitations on the streets of pondy bazaar. You can find some of the prettiest of the skirts, bags and belts ,earrings and pretty pretty sandals (I am a little biased towards shoes) on these streets and if you do happen to have a whiplash tongue you will get your best deal. If do you get lucky these may , possibly last long enough through use.
After you are done with the whole deal of shopping your wallet empty, indulge yourself  in the choicest and the costliest of Indian and international gourmet, but I dare say in my opinion the taste of the corn and the lime soda brought on the  Ranganathan street after a baragain battle cannot be beaten out.Saravana Bhavan . Krishna Sweets , Kfc,,Murugan Idli kadai, Seashells and all that yummy food, yet One can find the pakoras and chenna masala ,iceceams , pani puri and Samosas literally walking off the stalls in Ranganthan street.

One can find the wealthy and middle class to lower economic class Indians and foreigners likewise in the shopping agora of T nagar Such is the diversity of the shopping culture and crowd in the shopping “city” of T nagar .

A happy go come tourist might be cheated out of his or her skin in the street shopping culture, but for the residents of Chennai, the thought of shopping on the streets sends an expectant smile to the face.

Popcorn Munchies

Author - Someone who prefers anonymity
Authors Note - Any resemblance or parallels drawn to the living or dead is purely coincidental
and the work of guilty conscience
The post is based on "pure fiction" (if you know what i mean)

" To begin with

Congrats on your new ascent to power.
Finally a head to match your shoulders.
Now you are awesome.
Totally awesome in the ways you devote your time to the welfare of your "Subjects"

You have managed to gain the love of so many people already
We cannot wait to come and rip your lovely heart out of your chest.

Then again,
You would see me sitting with a bucket of nice fresh buttered popcorn in the background and enjoying "the funnies"

Childishness.
Cute aren't you?

It's funny how power can improve your judgement now to even lower levels.

I'm surprised that you can define even lower levels of judgement with your actions.
"Kya talent"

The one person who is reeking with common sense is you.
True that,
we couldn't ask for a better person who can plan things that can only induce peals of laughter in me.
The funnies again.
Quite an entertainment you are.

I just love it when you strut around with importance like a peacock.
Pride?
I'm sure all of us are aware of the particular "famous saying"

Well am just saying
I have a feeling that things are going to be interesting and yes, as for your enemies
They have found their place, finally.!!
And they really don't bother anymore, especially after the recent dig.
And the other person with guts, she doesn't care either, because she has a life of her own, so i guess you have a free reign now after all.
Unlimited funnies and pop corn

Strut around, its just a short period.
The world is in Your hands.!
Adios Amigo

On Globalization

Globalization: An illusion

“A global revolution,
Promises of juncture
Proclamation of new age ideals
Harmony of ideas
Demarcation of design difference”

.
.
.

Globalization

The good: Ideas and sharing are happening all around, “booiiiing “ goes the idea across the globe.

The bad: It’s no longer “only” your idea, the kid across the globe might be just using your "not so patented idea" for his science project claiming it as his own (and that’s pretty much only the tip of the iceberg)

.
.
.

The good: Growth of the energizing communication stream has transformed the boundaries of the planet ….. Closing it to be a mere “global village”. A Remarkable feet indeed.

The bad: Welcome to the virtual world. (if you’re wondering why that’s bad, you do have some serious issues)

.
.
.

The good: You do think that everyone’s thinking differently now.New ideas are happening!!!

The bad: You’re wrong.Everyone’s influencing each other with the ‘brand new’ communication stream that you end up with different similar ‘stuff’ (yes,Stuff), someone spell individuality.

.
.
.

The good: You’re building a house that’s no longer just a box.

The bad: So now you want to live in a house that looks like an amoeba? And fitting in your old comfy furniture is just another issue.

The Inference: Equate it to the devil’s words, nothing is what it was promised to be.
Globalization: a façade bound to nourish homogeneity, building a world were originality exists at least in the strands with vestigial tradition

What is wrong in being Gay ?

Nothing.

Anyone who has a problem , i say politely,

Close the damn tab or window and get lost. I do not have time for rotten tomatoes.

I do not see anything being wrong in having your sexual orientation as gay or in being a lesbian.

So what if a person is gay or is lesbian? its free country isn’t it??

Many a times homophobia or peoples's aversion to homosexuality is the main cause of the problem
Homosexuality has been mishandled due to the misinformation that is being passed on about the topic

Argumentatively a homosexual person can claim heterosexuality as “wrong” just like how the vice versa happens

It is not upto  us to decide what is right and what is wrong

What is right for me may not be right for you.

You may say heterosexuality is the nature, order of the universe,
the way humans have to be to reproduce, and homosexuality is purely for pleasure . . .

well kindly count the number of orphanages.
So much for being able to reproduce.

what is important is responsibility,
if a homosexual couple is willing and responsible enough (stable enough) to raise a child, they are more deserving than the scum that threw their child down the road.

Quoting someone “as long as it doesn’t harm the society, i do
not say there is anything wrong in being gay”

And that could be the sane argument,

 But

I have a problem with why the society should even have a problem!

If Your community is too narrow minded to accept your sexual orientation, remember you need no1s approval to do what you want

And It’s all about love isn’t it ?

If its love then you do not have anything to be ashamed of or scared of.

If you have love celebrate it, doesn’t matter if you are straight or gay or lesbian :).

Of Sex and Equality.

Im a Woman

A sister

A friend

A teacher

A student

I beleive i make up 50% of the

gender divide in humans

well thats saying something.

Im supposed to Be an Equal.

YU woman, Yur an equal to every man on this planet

Back in the 16th century, women had to fight for their equality ,

freedom , education

they had to ask "permission from their father or their husband"

for anything and everything

5 centuries later, in the 21st century

we still struggle for the same.

A recent mistake unravelled to draw parallels with the same,

some men, i repeat some men, still channel the 16th century

spirit,

it is quite unfortunate.

On the other hand, i've seen quite a lot o men who have

respected women beyond imagination

I salute such men.

As for the rest of them, who pretend to be a woman liberalist,

if you seek a woman, get ready to be burnt.

We do not fall At yur feet , or let ourselves become yur slaves

anymore.

we come as your equals, and thats how the world is.

For real men

I love you for your respect for women.

And love your lady and her life.

Not just her.

For the real Woman

Independance Is the key

Love yourself. You deserve that :)
